The following information was obtained on our recent visit to Brittany in France. We visited with Jeanne Scarabin in Trebeurden and her son Olivier in Lannion. They live about 10 kilometers (6 miles) apart. Another son of Jeanne, Herve, lives in Guingamp, about 30 kilometers (20 miles) away. We also visited several cemeteries in the area around Lannion. Here is a family tree of this family.

   11. Herve Scarabin (Err-vay), owns and operates an employment agency in Guingamp.
   12. Olivier Scarabin (Oh-liv-e-a) is a musician, performing, teaching and writing music.
   13. Olivier and Francoise perform at festivals, in clubs and sometimes on the street.
   14. Francoise is also a language teacher in High School (called “college” in France).
   15. She speaks four languages and teaches Spanish and German.
   16. A small village named “Scarabin” (also referred to as Ker Scarabin) is located by the community of Lanmerin, Cotes D’Armor, France. Lanmerin is located 8 kilometers
   17. ( 5 miles ) east of Lannion. Lannion is located near the northwest coast of France, about 450 kilometers ( about 300 miles) west of Paris..
